2020 forced many events to adapt to virtual platforms, but at SHPE, we were ahead of the curve with our latinXfactor program which has been offering free webinars to our members since 2018. Because we were already set-up for online learning, this program only grew as the demand for streaming workshops skyrocketed.
In all, SHPE offered 14 latinXfactor webinars with 3,375 unique views. The topics covered were as diverse as the instructors. They included five IPC (Industry Partnership Council) panelists, four lifetime SHPE members, and three subject matter experts.
The quality of our content remained as high as ever with 90% of attendees finding the material directly relating to their interest. 73% said they would recommend latinXfactor to a friend or colleague.
We are so pleased that our members never had to experience a gap in their pursuit of STEM excellence. This is what the #SHPEFamilia is all about: giving young Hispanics the tools they need to persist, grow, and thrive – no matter what.
